Sometimes it takes going through the most challenging of times to tap into our biggest well of life-changing potential. As the world continues to battle the ongoing pandemic, I want to share a story of hope with you — mine. In the wake of a broken relationship, a shattered career, and a traumatic back injury, I discovered that I could tap into the endless well of spiritual guidance that was all around me any time I chose — and you can, too.
Connecting with spirit and trusting the messages and guidance you receive means:
- Less conflict, drama, and stress in your life.
- You can finally stop staying stuck in the pain of the past and start recognizing the lessons, gifts, and true meaning within your experiences.
- Being able to quiet inner turmoil for more fulfilling days and more restful nights.
- New awareness of the signs and intuitions available to you every day, and new connection to your own deep inner knowing.
When life gets tough, get quiet. From within the silence, you can begin to really hear — hear the truth, feel what matters most, know the “secrets” to change what is no longer working in your life.
Start With Your Thoughts
Focusing on positive thoughts regardless of the situation at hand is essential to achieving happiness. When your thoughts are positive, your energy is stronger. Habitually choosing positive thoughts will shape your experience of life into a more beautiful one.
Avoid looking around you to try to find happiness “out there”; your happiness emanates from within you, and is continuously influenced by your thoughts. What another person does, thinks, or feels cannot provide your happiness, nor can any of that take your happiness away.
Listen for the Answers You Seek
Whatever problems you are currently struggling with — finding a healthy relationship, paying the bills, finding a job you love, feeling good in your body, navigating relationships with co-workers, figuring out what comes next for your life, or anything else you’re facing — we all have questions, and we all seek answers as to why things happened the way they did, and what we can do next to improve things.
Receiving any single answer doesn’t resolve our issues. With each answer comes a new question, and that’s why it’s so essential to create a visceral connection with our spiritual guidance — so we can always tap into the endless stream of answers!
I practice asking questions and receiving answers on a daily basis. The question and answer process calms me and allows me to feel connected with spirit. The calming effect this has on my life is very meditative in nature.
My biggest life-changing shifts happened when I stopped discounting the messages I was receiving from spirit and really acknowledged my deepest knowing and intuition. From there, I could apply the wisdom I was given to my daily life. The life I always wanted is finally mine, and you can have yours, too. All it takes is the willingness to connect with spirit, listen deeply, and apply the lessons to your life. I know you can do it!

Erin shows overscheduled, overwhelmed women how to do less so that they can achieve more. Traditional productivity books—written by men—barely touch the tangle of cultural pressures that women feel when facing down a to-do list. How to Get Sh*t Done will teach you how to zero in on the three areas of your life where you want to excel, and then it will show you how to off-load, outsource, or just stop giving a damn about the rest.
